The Studio & Dress Code

Traffic

Traffic in our parking lot has become much busier. To ensure the safety of our dancers, whenever possible, please park your car and walk your child to dance class.

Street Shoes

For safety reasons, please wear street shoes when entering and exiting the studio. You may put your dance shoes on just before you enter the classrooms. There will be cubbies available for you to keep your street shoes and other belongings during class.

Holidays

The studio will be closed for regular St. Johns County school holidays including Winter Break, Spring Break and other holidays. Classes will be held on Teacher Planning Days.

Monthly Fee Structure

For consistency, monthly fees are based on an average 4-week month, even though some months have 5 weeks, while other months have holidays.

Refunds

The Registration and Recital Fees are non-refundable.

Late Fees

All payments are due by the first class of each month. We do not bill monthly. We ONLY bill if payment was not received by the 10th of the month. A $10.00 per month charge will be applied to all delinquent accounts. This includes monthly class fees, registration fees, recital fees, costume payments and show team charges.

Fees Related to Recital

There will be a costume deposit for each costume ordered due in November. The costume balance will be due in February. In addition, a recital fee (per child) will also be due In November to help defray the cost of the theater rental.

In order to standardize the dress in class, the staff has requested that we require specific dance attire. The following is a list of appropriate attire for dance classes.

All Acrobatics

Fitted dance pants & tight shirt
OR leotard / biketard
Bare feet
Hair pulled back

Ballet Classes

Black Leotard
Pink Tights
Pink ballet shoes age 5 to level 3
Pink split sole shoe level 4 and up
Hair neatly secured in a bun

Contemporary Classes

Leotard of choice
Footless tights of choice
Half soles or bare feet
Hair pulled back

Tap and Ballet – 3 & 4 years

Leotard of choice
Convertible tights or socks
Black tap shoes/pink ballet
Hair Pulled Back

Tap and Jazz – under 8 years

Fitted dance pants & tight shirt
OR Leotard of choice
Socks & black tap shoes
Bare feet for jazz
Hair pulled back

Tap and Jazz – levels 1 and up

Dark fitted pants or fitted shorts w/tights
Any leotard or dance top
Nude Mary Jane style tap level 1-3
